It Is Time For Battle!

July 18, 2012

We are in a drought, yet the storm clouds are gathering.  This summer I was attempting to find that happy place of summer idleness.  Yet as I sought carefree fun, the enemy was busy waging a war against me. The unseen storm was building.  He has unleashed his weapons of destruction, but I am here to  declare; he has awoken a sleeping giant!

My post today is a warning, I am here to sound the alarm.  The enemy seeks to destroy.  He traps those who may be weak.  He traps those who are not prepared for battle.  His strikes can come out of a clear blue sky.

You may be relaxing and enjoying a wonderful summer.  He will try to catch you off guard.  You may still be rushing around like a wild person; do not be decieved, this is a great opportunity to strike. In both cases our guard may not be up.  Our weapons may have been laid down.  Our sword may have grown dull.  SHARPEN it NOW!

Do not wait until the day of battle to prepare your self.  Have you ever heard the phrase, “caught with your pants down?”  The enemy is at work in our nation.  He is at work in our cities.  He is at work in our homes.  It is time to pick up your weapons.  Sharpen them, polish them, don them!

But know this: “May those who seek OUR lives be disgraced and put to shame, may those who plot OUR ruin be turned back in dismay.  May they be like chaff before the wind with the angel of the Lord driving them away; may their path be dark and slippery, with the angel of the Lord pursuing them.  Since they hid their net for US without cause, and without cause dug a pit for US, may ruin overtake them by surprise – may the net they hid entangle them, may they fall into the pit to their ruin.  Then OUR souls will rejoice in the Lord and delight in His salvation.”  PS 35:4-9       “But let alll who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy.  Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.  For surley O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.” PS 5:11-12
