The Best is Yet to Come

March 5, 2012

I have addressed many issues in my series about following our dreams and setting goals.  Our journey began as I pointed out that it was time to renew.  It is time to take up the dreams that have lain dormant or lingering in our hearts.  Correct thoughts and thought patterns are vital to beginning that path and a right heart births the right attitude.  I cautioned you to guard your dreams and how to overcome fear.  Finally I gave you steps to begin the goal setting process.

I truly hope that you considered these things and took some steps toward realizing your dreams.  Today is the day.  It is time to begin looking ahead.

Too many people are living in the past.  They live in their past defeats.  It is time to switch our gaze.  No longer should we be looking behind us.  Our hope is ahead of us. The best is yet to come.

For you to become successful, a shift in the direction you look must be made.  It is time to leave the past.  Leave past failures in the past.  Leave hurt feelings behind you.  Leave the doubts you battled with on the field of battle where you struggled.  Today is the day for your new future.  Today is the day that the Lord had made for you to succeed.  Success is not the arrival at a destination.  Success is the beginning of the journey.  It is the first step and it is the steps that you continue to take.  As long as you are moving forward you are walking in success.

The past can be a ball and chain that keeps us bound to all that seeks to keep us in bondage; but Jesus came to set the captives free.  It is through Him that we are able to leave behind those things that would hinder our living life to the fullest.  It is through Him that we turn and face the future and our new hope.

It is a fresh new day.  Which direction are you going to look?  Choose the future.  Choose the hope that is ahead of you.  The best is yet to come.

The past definitely can be a ball and chain sometimes ;P But it’s cool that God doesn’t look at our past so there’s no reason why we should 🙂

That’s right, Debbie! God has been doing a work in my attitude and I see a very bright future ahead – The church near us has a sign: Don’t plan your future looking in the rear view mirror. I got that!!!!:)

I always pray for Jesus to free me of whatever has caused pain, trauma, and sin in my life, to renounce the lies and bondage of satan, and to announce the Truth in Jesus’ Name. Then I am able to walk in Freedom in Christ Jesus. It is so awesome!! 🙂 John 10:10 ~ The thief satan comes to kill steal and destroy, but I Jesus have come that you may have abundant life. That means RIGHT NOW, and every moment we walk with HIM in victory!! Yes, Jesus came to set the captives free. Thanks for sharing, Debbie.
