For the Cicalos – Make a Difference

July 28, 2011

How do we deal with a hurt so deep?  How do we comfort those affected by tragedy? Three precious people are gone from this world.  How do we cope?

When things are darkest and we think we are staring into a pit we are momentarily mistaken.  It is not a pit.  We are looking down into a well. Not only is the well our source but we too are unlikely wells.

You are a source of supply for others.  Right now you may not feel that you have anything to offer.  “I don’t have enough, I have nothing to give.”  The boy with just two fish and five loaves of bread didn’t think he had much to offer either.  But God is our multiplier.  You have a source of supply because God has given it to you.

The loss of Renee, Zak and Eden cannot be calculated, but neither can the supply of our God.  They now understand this, for they are in His very presence.

Many of you sought answers and comfort yesterday.  Over 350 people viewed my blog and it is my belief that all of you were searching for hope.  If you know Jesus you have that hope within you.  It is now time for you to become a well to others.  If each of the 350 people who read my blog comforted, lifted, encouraged or loved just one person, think of the difference we could make.

Each of us has the opportunity to be that little boy with two fish and five loaves.  If we just take our eyes off the pit and realize we are wells we can feed 5000.

The legacy of Renee, Zak and Eden will be revealed for generations.  The lives of each family member and all they touch and the generations that follow will be forever changed because of their lives.  My life is different because of them.  I am inspired because of them, and I choose to encourage and offer hope to others because of them.

So dear friend there still may be tears to cry but in the midst of our sorrow, KNOW that you are a well to others.  Make a difference today because of the Cicalo family.
